The LIUNA
National (Industrial) Pension Fund (LNIPF) was founded in 1967 by the
Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA) and employers of
LIUNA members for the purpose of providing retirement income benefits. Established
for non-construction workers, it offers the best benefits available thanks
to successful diversification, both geographically and industry-wide.
LNIPF covers workers in a broad range of employment, giving it financial
solvency. Workers
including professional,
dental, manufacturing, service contracts, federal government, public
sector and others in various job classifications are covered in the Fund.
There are more
than 40,000 active employees, approximately 10,300 pensioners, and over
10,000 employees who have left coverage with vested rights.
LNIPF is
governed by a Board of Trustees that is composed of three Union
Trustees and three Employer Trustees. It is the responsibility of the
Trustees to provide a sound retirement future for employees of
participating employers.
